Equipment
When it comes to installing new equipment, there are a lot of choices out there. I’ve always told people that there are plenty of good brands, but what really makes the difference is the people and the company installing the equipment. I choose what I install based on the people and the support I get. Here are my preferred brand partners.
Ruud Furnaces & Air Conditioners
I offer a variety of equipment options to cover the features, efficiencies, and budgets my clients ask for. Ruud is my go-to when it comes to new equipment installations. Their reliable spark ignition system, tubular heat exchanger design, and EcoNet control set them apart from other equipment manufacturers. Plus, many models have a Bluetooth startup capabilities which lets me, as the installing technician, know that my installation was done properly.
Ruud is primarily manufactured at the Rheem facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Daikin
Diakin is the largest HVAC manufacturer in the world by sales and marketshare. And while they offer a full line of residential and commercial products, I mainly use this brand for ductless (“mini split”) systems. Their ductless systems are backed by 12-year manufacturer’s warranties, which is 2 years more than almost every other manufacturer.
While Daikin headquarters is in Japan, much of the equipment sold in the U.S. is manufactured in their facility in Waller, TX.

Goodman
Goodman is very well-known and popular brand and some people have very strong opinions one way or another. I like Goodman for its brand recognition as a value offering in the field of residential and light commercial use.
Goodman is now owned by Daikin and manufactured in Waller, TX.

Lennox
I worked for a very large Lennox dealer for nearly a decade. It’s a brand I like, and one I know very well. In fact, I own a very nice Lennox system for my own home. While I am not an official Lennox dealer, I am able to quote and sell their Merit level line of products.
Lennox equipment is manufactured in several facilities around the U.S. Their primary facility is in Marshalltown, Iowa

WeatherKing
WeatherKing is brand now owned by Rheem (the manufacturer of Ruud) and is my budget-friendly equipment line. I like that it offers the reliable features of Ruud, like the spark ignition system and the tubular heat exchanger, while removing other unneeded features to keep the costs very competitive.
WeatherKing is primarily manufactured in Mexico
